After The War - Amiga Dinamic Original + Budget

Mensaje por dlfrsilver »

Hi ! This time, here is After the War for Amiga, 1 disk, original retail release (copy protected), as well as the budget version from Drosoft.

This one lack the intro music present on Atari ST version, and it also has the atari ST palette bug (yes this is what happens when the coder forget to convert correctly a game coming from the ST, which has 512 colors palette, when the amiga has 4096 colors. The result is that the game shows darkened colors.).

My advice : use Syx's whdload slave for after the war on whdload site, it patches this faulty behaviour.

Yes, it does look much better using the WHDLoad installer... felt curious and ran it under Amiga in a Box:

Nice game, BTW. Seems inspired by the Italian sci-fi films of the 80s, such as "2019: After the fall of New York" or Robert Clouse's "The Ultimate Warrior.
